Dear reader,
One man profits, the other don’t. They are collegues, friends, maybe brothers, perhaps father and son.
One focus on cost-cutting, instantaneous action, drive production, revenue growth, employes availability. The whole game leaves him, always mad, disappointed with the results, the non-stop need of having someone telling employes what to do, when to do, how to do. In some years this natural stimulus to self-worth becomes a burden.

His employes and people around him already know his next steps. Cost-cutting, operation, more, more and more.
In few months people realize this circle is not about the business operation but the way they live their lives. As you would guess, someone else will be blamed, responsable for the results they are getting.
It will be no surprise to find this “leaders” having a hard time with their families, body and wealth and health. All comes with a price.
The other man is analitical, he doesn’t emit oppinions, he studies human behaviours, systems, processes, and data. He talks to the employess, he listen to customers, he has a profound interest in understanding what works and what does not work.
While people are screaming on meetings, fighting over the email or crossing non-look faces on the corridors, he’s trying to get it. He sees companies are drived by few action oriented bosses that sometimes don’t understand what they are doing.
As Steve Jobs used to say, companies are often a folklore, where people don’t know what they are doing. They do it for the sake of doing it. And their life goes away in this busy-ego-oriented movements.
They lost opportunities to win, to profit, to gain knowledge, wisdom. To get that operations are efficiency, not cost-cutting, and there’s a science of business, management and human behaviour that is worthy studing.
Every day business is where you show up with results, you don’t enter the game to learn. You enter the game prepared to win, otherwise you are losing time, money and resources.
